To combat lingering visitors that may have accidentaly left a browser session open on your website we have a few things in place to make sure they do not interfere or remain listed as an active visitor after a timeout period. They way this works:
Visitor mouse cursor activity is tracked for activity on a certain interval. After 10 minutes of inactivity the visitor will be removed from the visitor window.
If the visitor after 10 minutes comes back to your page and continues surfing then they will be reinstated as a visitor with the same visitor ID as before but with a new session time counter.
